The House That General Hospital Fans Built
On December 12, 2009, LA Productions owners Lisa & Ani ventured into the rain storms of Los Angeles to join twelve cast members from daytime’s hottest show GENERAL HOSPITAL for a Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity build day. The weather conditions were damp, but the spirit of all who participated was bright and filled with a sense of great purpose.
“It was an amazing experience to be building along side other fans, supporters, crew and Habitat homeowners on this special day,” said Ani. “I will remember it and smile for a long, long time.”
The idea was the result of brainstorming efforts by the show’s Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri) and Brandon Barash (Johnny Zacchara). They gathered fellow cast mates while fans bid in an on-line auction for a chance to be part of the action and hammer along-side their favorite GH character.
“It was a complete and total win/win in every way,” said Lisa and Brandon. “The fans we who bid had a terrific time, and we know the actors had a blast!”
LA Productions was lucky enough to be part of Team Ronnie (Marmo) and could not have asked for a funnier, kinder, more humble person to spend the day with.
“It’s one of those things that just sticks with you,” added Lisa. “I’m not sure there are words that can completely describe it.”
With that thought, maybe the best thing to do it to let our video tell the story.
